Lisa A Civitella

Lisa A Civitella JD LLM founded Libertas Unlimited LLC following a 20+ year career primarily within the Big 4 accounting firms. As Founder & CEO, she created Libertas as an Indirect Tax specialty consultancy.
Her experience crosses numerous industries involving various tax technical issues and includes managing comprehensive tax review engagements for Fortune 500 companies with global operations related to their Indirect Tax processes, procedures, compliance and overall Indirect Tax strategy. Additionally, Ms. Civitella successfully defends clients through the state audit and appeal process.
Lisa is an alumna of Culver Girls Academy, earned a Bachelor of Arts from Washington & Jefferson College, holds a JD from Widener University School of Law and earned her Master in Laws (LLM) in Taxation degree from Villanova University’s School of Law.
Her community and board involvement includes various volunteer board and committee positions with societies whose mission is to provide further support for our Veterans. Additionally, she sits on the Board of Directors of Thombert, Inc.
Olivia G Mascharka
Manager
Olivia Mascharka is a magna cum laude graduate of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. She has an extensive background in pre-law studies and excelled in Legal Research & Writing, Advanced Logic and Technology in Law, among others. Ms. Mascharka completed an English degree with a dual minor in Pre-Law and Philosophy while leading the University’s mock trial team, creating the Honors Program Newsletter and conducting award-winning undergraduate research.
Continuing with her passion for the legal profession, Ms. Mascharka attends the Faulkner University of Thomas Goode Jones School of Law’s Juris Doctor degree program where she has earned Dean’s List honors. Additionally, Olivia co-authored the article "A New Tax Era: Maryland's Digital Advertising Tax” published in the Journal of State Taxation. Ms. Mascharka is a student member of the American Bar Association, the Erie County Bar Association and the Institute for Professionals in Taxation.
This background coupled with her experience in writing and research-based projects enables Olivia to excel in her position as a Manager with Libertas.
Anna C Nicholson
Senior Associate
Anna Nicholson, is a Culver Girls Academy alumna from Delray Beach, Florida. Ms. Nicholson graduated from Loyola University Chicago’s Quinlan School of Business with a major in Business Management and a demonstrated interest in Finance and Accounting, having achieved Dean’s List honors seven of her eight semesters.
Outside of her professional career, Anna enjoys traveling and reading, and is an accomplished equestrian, having competed in the Jumpers division, as well as AA-level Hunters division. Ms. Nicholson is an alumna of the Chi Omega sorority where she served as Co-Director of Philanthropy supporting the Make-a-Wish Foundation.
Anna’s overall experience, managerial competency, and motivation to excel serve her well in her position as a Senior Associate with Libertas.
Amanda R Kurteff

Amanda Kurteff is a Culver Girls Academy alumna from Plainfield, Illinois. She was the recipient of the merit-based STEM Scholarship and is a graduate of the University of Utah where she majored in Political Science and was an active member of the Alpha Phi sorority having served on its Executive Board. Continuing with her passion for knowledge, Amanda is enrolled at the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law and is a student member of the American Bar Association.
Ms. Kurteff is an accomplished equestrian, an avid skier and enjoys playing golf. She takes pride in supporting the Alpha Phi Foundation and women’s heart health, her sorority’s philanthropy.
Amanda is a self-motivated and enthusiastic Senior Associate who seeks to continuously improve and adapt to new challenges.
Cloyee N Cleckler
Associate
Cloyee Cleckler, a Georgia native, attended Columbus State University through a dual enrollment program where she focused on English studies.
Ms. Cleckler enjoys reading, cooking and spending time with her family. Additionally, she is an accomplished singer who further develops her abilities through leading worship at her church.
Cloyee’s notable experience with client relationships stemming from her service industry background and her passion for making connections in a personable manner provide her with the requisite skills to excel in her position as an Associate with Libertas.
Kara Knickerbocker
Senior Executive Assistant
Kara Knickerbocker, originally from Saegertown, Pennsylvania, earned a Bachelor’s degree in English from Westminster College where she was Vice President of Mortar Board Honor Society and a member of Sigma Tau Delta English Honor Society. Continuing her education, Kara graduated magna cum laude from Carlow University with a Master of Fine Arts degree in Creative Writing.
Prior to joining Libertas, Kara worked in higher education as an Admissions Representative for the Art Institute of Pittsburgh’s Online Division and an Administrative Coordinator for Carnegie Mellon University.
Ms. Knickerbocker is an internationally published writer, Teaching English as a Foreign Language certified, has traveled to over 50 countries and enjoys hiking, running and language practice. The combination of her education and vast experience provides Kara with a high level of proficiency and competence in her position as the CEO’s Executive Assistant.

Recently, the Arizona Court of Appeals (Court) determined the Wisconsin headquartered online auto parts retailer RockAuto, LLC (RockAuto) had established substantial nexus in Arizona through its network of distributors, vacating and remanding the tax court’s decision.
